4 hours to go...

Our plane leaves at 6 this morning! I can't sleep....(mostly because I still have so much to do!)

We are flying from Calgary to Vancouver, and then after a 6 hour stop over..., from Vancouver to Tokyo! WOOT! We are going to stay in Tokyo for 3 nights and 4 days which is sooo exciting! I can't even imagine what it will be like! We are going to stay in a 4.5 STAR HOTEL called Hotel Nikko Tokyo, which is close to central Tokyo and also has a wonderful view of the Tokyo harbour! We will arrive in Tokyo at about 4 in the afternoon on the 27th Japan time and given the inevitable jet lag i think we're going to take the first night pretty easy and hang around the hotel area. The 28th however....


We are going to meet Jim's cousin's brother-in-law, Geoffrey, and his wife (who live in Tokyo) for dinner on the 28th and perhaps a short tour around. It is so nice of him to agree to meet up with us and give us advice on where to go and what to see (this way we can skip the touristy nonsense).


As far as our itinerary goes thus far for Tokyo...I have no idea! I just want to see the place! I'd like to hit up some sweet arcades and, of course, the shopping. The night-life must be insane! Perhaps we'll go to some karaoke bars...we'll have to see!


On the 31st we are going to make our way to Kyoto and eventually to Maizuru via the magical trains!
