Weekend!

We have been sitting in on more classes and getting a feel for the teaching environment. This morning we observed Erica (the teacher we are replacing) and a group of four young students. The class went well and we asked her a few questions afterwards. Next we met with Mark and learned more about how to use the website and went through a checklist of what to...check... before we teach.

After that Keiko was nice enough to drive us to a beach so we could have some fun.
Amazingly, the beaches were filthy
...well, not all of them. The location was beautiful though. We played frisbee and went swimming, being careful not to stray too far as we are both terrible swimmers.

Just before we left the beach we made our first Japanese friend, Asamoto!!! He was basically a huge beauty who spoke english and did a can-can dance upon our introduction! People! Anyways, he was a really nice guy and we exchanged contact information, so hopefully later in the blog you will be reading stories about our adventures together.

Now we are back at our apartment just trying to relax. Tomorrow Erica is showing us a couple of waterfalls in the area, which should be pretty cool.

The Flames need another scorer... they have me worried. Anyways, best wishes!
